Every truckload of raw paddy entering Ravi Rice Mill undergoes rigorous preliminary sampling at our weighbridge laboratory. We test grain moisture, maturity, chalkiness, and varietal purity before authorizing unloading.

Pre-Cleaning & Destoning

Removal of straw, dust, mud balls, heavy debris, and metal fragments.

Raw paddy is routed through high-capacity multi-deck vibrating sieves, magnetic separators, and specific gravity destoners to purge foreign contaminants, ensuring spotless processing feed.

Hydrothermal Soaking (For Sella)

Controlled warm water immersion in our battery of 18+ stainless steel soaking tanks.

For our parboiled (Sella) varieties, paddy is submerged in thermo-regulated water to hydrate the starch granules evenly to 30%+ moisture, preparing the internal endosperm for gelatinization.

High-Pressure Steam Parboiling

Pressurized steam injection to gelatinize starch and lock vitamins into the grain.

Saturated steam is injected under strict pressure curves. The hydrothermal reaction fuses microscopic fissures inside the grain, rendering the rice shatter-resistant and imparting its signature golden hue.

Multi-Stage Temperature Drying

Gentle moisture reduction across our battery of 8+ high-capacity drying towers.

Steamed or raw paddy must be dried gradually from 30% down to a stable 12.5% moisture. Our computerized fluid-bed dryers employ indirect warm air to eliminate thermal shock and avoid internal cracking.

Precision De-Husking & Separation

Pneumatic rubber rollers gently strip the inedible outer husk from brown rice.

Rubber roll hullers operate with pneumatic pressure sensors to strip the husk with minimal shearing stress. High-precision paddy separators oscillate to recycle any unhulled grains back into the line.

Multi-Pass Whitening & Friction Polishing

Gradual bran layer removal followed by silky mist polishing for gleaming white grains.

Rather than aggressively abrading in one pass, our rice flows through 3 to 4 sequential abrasive emery rollers, followed by water-mist silky friction polishers from Japan that buff the surface to crystalline brilliance.

Length & Thickness Precision Grading

Separating broken grains, tips, and undersized fragments using rotating indented cylinders.

Indented cylinder trieur batteries separate unbroken full-length grains from 3/4 grains, half grains, and tips with mathematical exactitude, guaranteeing guaranteed head-rice yields.

Multi-Camera Optical Color Sorting

High-speed CCD & InGaAs infrared cameras eject any chalky, discolored, or foreign grains.

Grains pass in a single-grain curtain at 6 meters per second beneath ultra-high-resolution bi-chromatic and InGaAs infrared sensor cameras. Ultra-fast pneumatic air nozzles blast away any discolored or dark grains in milliseconds.

Computerized multi-head weighing into non-woven, jute, poly, or bulk packaging.

Automated form-fill-seal and multi-head weigh scales dispense precise grammage into customer-branded packaging from 1 kg up to 50 kg, followed by vacuum or nitrogen-flush sealing to preserve freshness.

Moisture-proof warehousing, phytosanitary fumigation, and direct container stuffing.

Packed goods are shrink-wrapped on treated wooden pallets inside pest-controlled warehouses. 20ft and 40ft sea containers are loaded directly at our factory dock before dispatch to Port Qasim & Karachi Port for global shipping.
